Fire – Da Nah Na Da Nah Na

If you would have told me last week or last year that I would be in a park at 9:30pm at night with two of my sons watching people play with, even swallow, fire I would have told you that you’ve been a little too close to the cement glue or something; just say no brothers and sisters. Well maybe I’ve been a little too close to the stuff because I was out there watching the owners and performers from Wicked Wicks do their thang and they did it baby!

Now trying to photograph them while being in total amazement of it all was a challenge. This was my first attempt at intentional night photography and after some tips from Chris I was good to go. These people are truly amazing/talented and I'm glad we were able to hook up so the Boyz and I could watch the art of Fire Spinning and Poi Performers. We’re going to try to hook up again next month so I can get more shots of this art in motion. Here are a few shots from our little get-together last night. Also, here is a link to more information about Fire and Poi Performers and Kate Riegle website.
